Day 2: February 13, 2025
Day 2 was dedicated to an industrial visit to Mahabaleshwar. The students and faculty departed at 05:00 hrs and returned to the campus by 22:00 hrs. This provided the visiting students with an opportunity to observe real-world applications of economic principles and gain exposure to industry practices.
Day 3: February 14, 2025
The Campus Connect program, held from February 12th to 16th, 2025, proved to be an enriching experience for all attendees. The *third* day, February 14th, commenced with reporting at 8:30 am, followed by Prof. Avichal Sharma's engaging session on LinkedIn and Utility Maximization. Prof. Sharma didn't just lecture; he brought the concept of utility maximization to life through an interactive auction game, allowing participants to experience firsthand how individuals make decisions to maximize their satisfaction. Following a refreshing breakfast, Dr. Jibrael Jos led a dynamic session focused on the crucial skills of self-expression and team coordination. Participants engaged in activities designed to enhance their communication and collaboration abilities, fostering a sense of camaraderie and teamwork.
The serene setting of the gazebo provided the perfect backdrop for Prof. Stuti Sowmya's session on vision and goal setting. Prof. Sowmya guided participants through a process of self-reflection, helping them articulate their aspirations and develop concrete plans to achieve their goals. Lunch was followed by presentations from the 2BSc EA students, who delved into the complexities of macroeconomics and its real-world applications. Their innovative use of a musical chair activity to illustrate the fluctuating job market during economic booms and recessions made complex economic principles accessible and engaging. The day concluded with a test on Mathematical Economics, providing students an opportunity to assess their understanding of the subject, followed by an evening of rest, recreation, and vibrant performances.
Day 4: February 15, 2025
The *fourth* day, February 15th, began early with a trek, offering participants a chance to connect with nature before diving back into academic pursuits. After reporting at 8:45 am, Prof. Pallavi Pandey's session on perception and public speaking equipped participants with valuable tools to improve their communication skills. Prof. Pandey emphasized the importance of clear and confident communication, providing practical tips and techniques for effective public speaking. A visit to Parivarthana, a paper recycling unit and CSA initiative, provided a real-world perspective on waste management and the implementation of related policies. This visit offered a valuable opportunity to see how theoretical concepts translate into practical action. Prof. Avichal Sharma returned for another insightful session, this time focusing on time management, teamwork, the importance of a strong foundation, and the strategic use of LinkedIn. He shared practical strategies for effective time management and emphasized the critical role of teamwork in achieving success. The final formal session was dedicated to introspection and reflection, allowing participants to consolidate their learnings and contemplate their personal and professional growth. The valedictory session, which included guidance on CV and resume building, marked the official close of the conclave. Participants received certificates of participation, celebrating their involvement and accomplishments. The day concluded with a relaxed evening of music and dance, creating a celebratory atmosphere.
Day 5: February 14, 2025
The *fifth* day, February 16th, consisted of the departure to Pune at 9:00 am.
The Campus Connect program successfully blended academic rigor with practical application, providing participants with a well-rounded learning experience. The diverse range of sessions, from theoretical discussions to interactive activities and site visits, ensured that participants gained both knowledge and practical skills. The conclave fostered a sense of community and collaboration, creating an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.
