Workshop on “Next Gen-AI Educators: Leading Sustainable Education Transformation
The Department of Data Science of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune, Lavasa Campus in association with CHIRST Infotech and Christ College, Pune organized a 2-day workshop on “Next Gen-AI Educators: Leading Sustainable Education Transformation”. The event provided a platform educators and researchers an opportunity to explore how AI is transforming education. This two-day event featured expert sessions and hands-on workshops, providing a platform for knowledge sharing and practical engagement with AI technologies.
The workshop was attended by faculty members from junior colleges, higher education institutions, and research scholars. Participants engaged in discussions and interactive sessions designed to equip educators with AI-based teaching methodologies. The sessions aimed to provide practical insights into AI-driven tools that enhance teaching and learning experiences.
The workshop featured distinguished resource person, Dr. Rajesh Kanna R, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science and Core Committee Member, Centre for Artificial Intelligence CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Bangalore. Dr. Rajesh included a series of talks and practical activities designed to enhance educators' understanding and application of AI.
On 23rd January 2025, he covered key topics to enhance educators' understanding and application of AI which included:
• Understanding AI and its subfields
• Exploring Gen-AI platforms
• Exploring AI tools for content creation
• Exploring AI tools for Classroom teaching
On 24th January, Dr. Rajesh focussed more on the exploring and using various AI tools for education and research by providing hands-on on various tools. The topics included:
• Exploring AI tools for designing learning activities and assessments
• AI Tools for Research
• Prompt Engineering Best Practices
• AI Tools for Image, Audio, Video, PPT, Content generation
Each session provided educators with knowledge of utilizing AI tools for more interactive and efficient teaching strategies.
