Club Activity-11th October 2025
The School of Business and Management (BBA), CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, conducted its weekly Club Activity session on 11th October 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:20 PM in the BBA classrooms. Coordinated by Ms. Devleena Banerjee with 16 dedicated student volunteers, the event brought together over 182 first- and second-year BBA students for an enriching morning of interactive, skill-based activities. Eight clubs hosted varied sessions that seamlessly blended academic learning with creativity, strategic thinking, and professional skill development, aligning with the university’s vision of holistic education.
The Marketing Club fostered creativity and strategic acumen through the Marketing SWOT Team Challenge, where students designed products, crafted visual concepts, performed SWOT analyses, and pitched innovative marketing ideas, thus sharpening their analytical skills and presentation abilities. The ED (Entrepreneurship Development) Club energized participants with “IGNITE Auction Lite,” an engaging business simulation in which teams bid on detective-themed items and developed startup models, reinforcing entrepreneurial thinking and collaborative strategy.
The Analytics Club deepened data competencies with a detective-style Data Escape Room Challenge, requiring students to analyze datasets in Excel and solve a business mystery through logical deduction and practical application of data concepts, advancing their technical and analytical reasoning. The SMPR Club, in partnership with the HRM (Human Resource Management) Club, shifted learning beyond the classroom through inter-club football and volleyball matches, fostering teamwork, resilience, strategic thinking, and healthy competition while embodying management principles such as motivation and coordination.The MDQ (Munning, Debating, and Quizzing) Club immersed students in a dynamic Courtroom Debate Challenge, empowering them to rapidly analyze legal or ethical dilemmas, assume roles like lawyers or jurors, and deliver compelling arguments under time pressure, thereby cultivating advocacy and improvisational debating abilities. The Comuni-CAT Club brought out collaborative skills through its Story Weavers activity, where pairs crafted spontaneous narratives on imaginative prompts, developing active listening, creativity, improvisation, and public speaking confidence in an enthusiastic, supportive environment.
The Finance Club boosted practical financial literacy with a hands-on IPO and company valuation simulation, as teams created fictional companies, set IPO terms, and pitched their concepts to peers, honing persuasive communication and investment analysis skills. Meanwhile, The HRM Club, by joining forces with SMPR, promoted unity, sportsmanship, and active engagement through outdoor sports, using football and volleyball matches as platforms for experiential learning of HR principles.Overall, the 4th Week Club Activity encapsulated the vibrancy of CHRIST Lavasa’s co-curricular culture, turning every session into a comprehensive opportunity to enhance hard and soft skills. From data analysis to entrepreneurial innovation, spirited debate to sportsmanship, financial strategy to collaborative storytelling, each activity cultivated confidence, adaptability, teamwork, and leadership—essential for success in academic, professional, and personal spheres.
