Club Activity- 4th October 2025

The School of Business and Management (BBA), CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, conducted its weekly Club Activity session on 4th October 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:20 PM in the BBA classrooms. Coordinated by Ms. Devleena Banerjee with the support of 16 dedicated student volunteers, the event brought together over 182 first- and second-year BBA students for an enriching morning of interactive and skill-based activities. A total of eight clubs hosted a variety of sessions, each designed to blend academic learning with creativity, strategic thinking, and professional skill development, in keeping with the university’s vision of holistic education.

The Marketing Club set the tone for creativity and team spirit through its “Tagline Relay Act,” where students worked in teams to convey brand taglines purely through non-verbal actions. This was followed by a Chinese Whisper-style tagline creation challenge that encouraged innovation, adaptability, and communication skills, while offering plenty of laughter and energy in the classroom. The ED  (Entrepreneurship Development) Club pushed participants to think analytically in its session “Fail Fast, Learn Faster.” Students studied real-world failed startup cases, identifying the reasons for their downfall and presenting alternative strategies, thereby building critical thinking and entrepreneurial resilience.

The Analytics Club focused on deepening members’ data skills with a two-part session. The first part involved a competitive Kahoot quiz centered on business analytics and Power BI, fostering engagement through healthy competition. In the second half, members underwent hands-on training in financial dashboard creation, learning to import, clean, and analyze data to generate visually effective outputs—an exercise that translated theory into practical expertise.

The SMPR (Strategic Management and Public Relations) Club designed an activity-packed session beginning with “Strategic Hunt,” where teams devised business strategies using assigned resources, followed by surprise public relations crises that tested their problem-solving agility. This was complemented by a real-world PR discussion held at Steaming Mugs café, encouraging students to connect theory with industry practices.

The MDQ (Munning, Debating, and Quizzing) Club nurtured quick thinking through two high-energy formats—“Impromptu Policy Draft Debate,” where participants created and defended policy solutions on the spot, and “Debate Russian Roulette,” which challenged them to argue for or against unpredictable motions with minimal preparation time. The Communi-CAT Club immersed students in “Club Conquest,” a civilization-based strategy simulation that required leadership, negotiation, and tactical decision-making to achieve victory. Through alliances, diplomacy, and resource management, participants experienced the dynamics of competitive yet collaborative environments. The Finance Club contributed to financial literacy by first explaining core investment concepts like P/E ratio and dividend yield, then sparking thought-provoking discussions in a debate on whether cryptocurrency can replace traditional money.

The Human Resource Management (Ardor) Club concluded the session with a deep dive into “Handling Employee Concerns through HR Interventions.” In simulated workplace scenarios, teams proposed empathetic yet practical solutions to issues such as workload imbalance, favoritism, and remote work isolation. Their presentations reinforced the importance of balancing organizational goals with employee well-being.

Overall, the 4th October Club Activity reflected the vibrancy of CHRIST Lavasa’s co-curricular culture, where every session was an opportunity to sharpen both hard and soft skills. From data analytics to brand creativity, from debating to diplomacy, and from financial insight to human-centered problem solving, the activities cultivated adaptability, teamwork, leadership, and confidence, essential attributes for thriving in academic, professional, and personal spheres.
