New Post Graduate Students Welcomed At CHRIST, Lavasa

The inaugural program for post graduate students of M Sc, Data Science and MA (Business Economics) along with 2019-2021 Batch of MBA students was held on 17th August 2019 in the Auditorium, Central Block, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa. The new students assembled on time and the program began with a welcome note. An invocation dance was gracefully performed by Christ dance team – Kalarpana and appreciated by the audience. The formal part of the program began with traditional lighting of the lamp by Dr Fr Jossy George – Director & Dean, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa, Dr Fr Arun Antony – Academic Coordinator, Dr Binu Paul – Head of Academics, Dr Samiksha Shukla – Head of Data Science Department and Dr Ginesh, while the Invocation Hymn was sung in the background.



After invoking the blessings of the Lord, Director & Dean, Fr Jossy P George recited the introductory prayer with solemnity. Then readings from Holy Scriptures were read out with utmost reverence, beginning with Bhagwad Gita, followed by the Quran, the Bible and finally a reading from the writings of Founder, St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Thereafter the Intercessory Prayer was read out in good faith. The concluding prayer was spoken by Academic Coordinator, Fr Arun followed by concluding hymn. 



Then Director, Fr Jossy addressed the august gathering. He motivated the new entrants to put in their best during the course of their time in college. As the first batch of post graduate students, they have an added responsibility to set a benchmark and prove themselves through sheer hard work. Fr Jossy’s presentation was highly motivational and it instilled in them confidence and inspired them to forge ahead with grit and determination to realize their dream and make the most of their stay in the campus.




An apt video related to life in the campus was instantly appreciated by everyone. The video gave them an overview of CHRIST, Lavasa and it was observed that the students watched it in rapt attention.



Then Fr. Arun gave a detailed orientation about the history of CHRIST and explained how the college has come a long way since its commencement. The information was received well by the new students. Head of Academics, Dr Binu P Paul briefed them about discipline and instructed them to abide by rules and regulations under all circumstances. The detailed instructions were explained in a very systematic manner. The event ended with a vote of thanks and concluded with Christ Anthem.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion.
