Brandits 3.0 - Day 9

Despite heavy downpour, most of the students participated in Rain Marathon on 4th August 2019 with a lot of zeal and zest. Here is an update on Brandits’ activities till date.

Team A needs to be shaken out of their complacency and requires strong motivation to spur them on and increase their score. Their old activities were taken into consideration as they understood consumer behavior through real life events and conducted an activity called - 'Etachment' and also propagated AIDS awareness campaign.

Team B expressed concern for the underprivileged families by donating old Flex and converted a temporary roof made up of straw into a water proof roof, gave friendship bands to everyone in Lavasa and celebrated Friendship Day, fed dogs, spent a wonderful evening at Ashiana Housing Society by conducting various activities, offered business insights and competitive strategies to the shop next to Garawa in order to compete with neighbouring shops without any consultation fees, thereby incorporating theory into practice, gave thank you notes to all the shopkeepers for their service to students and also expressed gratitude to them for going out of their way to help students in every possible way, helped Bhaiya at Royal Juice shop to make tea for tourists, gave head massage to people to control hair fall during monsoon and also to increase blood circulation, played stone-paper-scissors with tourists and friends, cleaned the street by collecting littered waste, conducted a ‘let’s be someone’s umbrella campaign' to known and unknown people, helped Sangeeta tai to sell products, helped a corn vendor to heat corn, played crisscross with members of another team and helped Mangal Murti Bhaiya to serve food.

Team C did not organize any event and needs sometime to formulate a strategy to gain momentum and score more for their team.

Team D helped people to go down the memory lane and recall childhood memories using various activities, ran `keep your city clean’ campaign and educated tourists specially children about the same, offered business insights and marketing strategies to a small boy who was struggling to sell toy fans to the tourists. It shows their genuine concern for others as they offer business insights to those who really need it in reality. They interacted and conducted tongue twister challenge with random tourists, communicated with a family that can't hear, through sign language and conveyed a message that `We All Are Same’, thereby made them feel good, gave "I am successful" badge to shopkeepers in Lavasa to appreciate their hard-work and commitment, watered plants kept in the hostel corridor, clicked pictures of tourists from their phones and helped them preserve their special moments, gifted water bottles to the security guards in hostel, cafeteria employees and others who need it for their children, dedicated songs to their friends on account of Friendship Day, posted posters and celebrated upcoming Independence Day depicting harmony between India and Pakistan and asked students to write the names of their friends along with their unique characteristics.

On 5th August 2019 Match 1 (Team A Vs Team D) of Gully Cricket will be played between 1:40 PM to 2:10 PM in the Amphitheater, Management Block, Lavasa followed by PUBG Tournament around 5:30 PM at the same venue.
