SANKALP 2.0 (CONSTITUTIONAL WEEK)
On the 26th of November, the Inauguration Ceremony of Sankalp 2.0 was conducted via zoom meet from 9:15 AM to 10:10 AM. The momentous and well-planned virtual event celebrating the occasion of the inauguration of the auspicious 72nd Constitution day was inaugurated on 26th November 2021.
The week was termed as “Sankalp 2.0” by the respected members of the Constitutional Law studies committees, commencing at 9:15 AM, was initiated as a way of integrating a constitutional spirit within the young minds of the students of the respected institution. The guest speaker, the eminent personality, Hon’ble Justice Rajive Bhalla, was invited to enlighten the audience with his virtuous thoughts and stir the constitutional spirit among everyone, he has enlightened the student on the significance of the constitution and how we are the future and we have a responsibility and duty upon us to protect the Constitution and its ideals. He has explained how the Constitution was an excellent piece of work by the best thinkers. After the engagement with the chief guest, the cultural aspect of the was commenced, wherein, there was a video representation of the Indian culture in 12 languages, depicting the principles mentioned and stated in the Preamble of Indian Constitution followed by a culturally integrating song and speeches presented in three languages, namely, English, Hindi, and Bengali.
- CONQUIZOR:
CONQUIZOR was a National Level Quiz Competition that was conducted by the Committee. The broad theme for the competition is ‘Constitutional Law, Legal General Awareness and Legal History’. This quiz competition is an attempt to provide a platform for young achievers in the legal field to test their knowledge of Constitutional Law. The university is invited all the law students across the country to participate in this quiz competition and to make it successful.
There were over 250 registrations, the first round of the quiz was conducted on 27th November. On the same day the top 17 winners were declared and who was qualified to attempt Round 2. The second round was conducted on 29th November, out of which the top 2 winners were declared. Both the rounds of quiz were conducted via google forms.
- National Online Essay Writing Competition on Constitutional Law:
The Committee has organized a National Essay Writing Competition on the eve of “Constitution Day” to be celebrated on 26th November 2021. The competition provided a platform to the young achievers in the legal field to showcase and improve their legal research and writing on the Supreme Law of the Land.
The last day for submissions was kept as 30th November. Many people have registered and participated in this competition with utter enthusiasm. Out of all the submissions, the top 3 winners were declared.
- Samvad on Constitutional Law:
Samvad is a Group discussion which was held by the Constitution Studies Law Committee, School of Law CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa as a part of SANKALP 2.0. Samvad was held on 1st December, from 11:15 AM to 1:10 PM. Samvad was an opportunity for everyone to speak out and voice their opinions. It will be an insightful discussion where knowledge can be exchanged and gained and different perspectives can be shared on a friendly online platform.
Samvad was conducted on 1st December 2021, and the topic for the discussion was “Right to the Internet: A Fundamental Right. On this day a long-standing discussion continued for almost 2 hours and many opinions and knowledge was shared and gained. Everyone participated enthusiastically.
- Concluding Ceremony
The Concluding Ceremony was conducted on the 3rd of December 2021 which was also Advocates Day which marked the birth anniversary of Dr Rajendra Prasad.
In the concluding ceremony, there was a guest lecture by Dr (Prof) Paramjit J Jaswal, who currently is the Vice-Chancellor of the SRM University, Sonipat, Haryana. Sir, has graced the concluding ceremony by his word of the motivation was also very informative. Sir, has talked about the significance of our constitution, on how the nation can prosper if the constitution was abided in an effective and efficient manner, also explained about the importance of the legal profession and how it's always important not to let down the client. The event was concluded by announcing the results of CONQUIZOR, and the National Essay Writing Competition.
Overall, the event was a successful event, participants have participated in the competition from all over the nation. The actively growing participation of students from different colleges every year enhanced the events. Sankalp 2.O was a synergy of the youth creativity and talent quotient. It was a hustle-bustle affair with the gamut of events rolled to test talent and mental ability, logical thinking. All the events were conducted smoothly without any distractions. Everyone seemed to enjoy the event. All the suggestions and recommendations will be taken into consideration while planning the future vents.
