FINANACE BUDGETING COMPETITION - HARMONEY

“Harmoney”, the Finance Club, from the School of Business and Management (MBA) organised its first offline club activity, the Budgeting Competition on 3rd December 2021 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.


In this event, each team had to prepare a budget for the “Launch event of a New Product”. Each team came up with new ideas with their own budget plan. The budget that was provided to each team was 25 Crore out of which 12.5 Crore was allotted as Capital and remaining 12.5 Crore, had to be raised through sponsorship, also each team had to prepare a sponsorship pitch which they had to present. The teams were required to detail out all the Revenue and Expense heads. The teams were asses on criteria that included Budget preparation, Sponsorship Pitch, Critical Thinking, and Analysis of the situation. The assessment was done out of a total of 30 Points.


The event started with Aju Abraham’s welcome speech. There were seven teams with having 4-5 members in each team. All the teams submitted excel sheets showing their budget for the launch of a new product of their choice and presented the same including the sponsorship pitch. The time allotted for each presentation was 7 minutes whereas 3 minutes were allotted for question and answer round. The last part of the event was Vote of Thanks, which was done by Amal Simon.
