The School of Business and Management (BBA) CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus hosted a webinar on "Analysing IPO from Beginners Perspectives" by Mr Vinayak Kanvinde, SEBI - recognized Securities Market Trainer on 17th September 2021.

Mr Vinayak Kanvinde, a guest speaker from a SEBI - recognized securities market trainer, explained what the Primary market is and how it differs from the Secondary market in terms of its goal, price determination, and the securities it deals with. Bonus problems were well discussed, including how shares are doubled with no effect on market value. Capital Issues such as IPOs, FPOs, Right Issues, Offers for Sale, and other subjects were covered, assisting students with their investing misunderstandings. He then went on to discuss how to file for a Public Issue through ASBA, UPI through ASBA, and other options. He assisted us in identifying the promoter based on what he claims and delivers. Various rights, such as the right to transfer and the right to file grievances, were discussed. During his address, he correctly advised the students to do a pre-application study to assess investment risks. When making financial decisions, he encouraged us to be educated with up-to-date information and sources, and not to trust rumours. It is important to examine initial public offerings (IPOs) and crucial aspects.
He explained why the company’s issues and financial reports are relevant to investors. We were shown how to submit a complaint with the RTA, a company, or an IPO for any issues that arise following the purchase of stock. He shared the rights of a stakeholder in order to protect pupils from future misconduct.

He emphasised on reading the yearly report, which provided us with in-depth knowledge.
