WEBINAR ON BIG DATA AND ITS FRAMEWORK

The Department of Data Science CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, conducted a webinar on 'Big Data and its Framework" on 4th December 2021. The speaker for the day was Dr Vaishali Deshmukh, Assistant Professor, New Horizon College of Engineering, Bangalore, India. The event was conducted in hybrid mode, with students from MSc (Data Science) and MSc (Economics and Analytics) attending the session.


The event started with an introductory note by the MC, who introduced the speaker and her achievements, including her research works. Dr Vaishali Deshmukh began the presentation by explaining the importance of big data and its real-life applications. She provided insight into the process of using Hadoop & its architecture, map-reduce, spark, etc., which was beneficial to the students. After completing the presentation, the guest speaker provided a hands-on experience using Hadoop (Google-Collab).



This was followed by a Q&A session, where the students raised many questions, and Dr Vaishali gave a clear explanation to their queries. The event ended with a vote of thanks to the guest speaker, faculty, and other participants.

PANEL DISCUSSION ON LEADERSHIP & ENTREPRENEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT SKILLS

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON DATA SCIENCE, COMPUTATION AND SECURITY - IDSCS’22

The Third International Conference on Data Science, Computation and Security (IDSCS-22) hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in association with Springer from 11th to 12th February 2022. The conference was conducted online with participants from all across the globe. The conference commenced with the inauguration ceremony at 9:30 AM. Dr Pooja Batra was the Emcee for the occasion and began with the Lighting of the Lamp, followed by a prayer song performed by the students of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.
