Session on CA
The Department of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, successfully organized an engaging and insightful session titled “Session on CA” on 11 November 2025. The session was conducted by Mr. Ramakrishnan, a distinguished professional from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The initiative was aimed at providing students with in-depth exposure to the Chartered Accountancy profession and creating awareness about the academic pathway, professional requirements, and career opportunities associated with the CA qualification.The primary objective of the session was to guide students aspiring to pursue Chartered Accountancy by offering authentic insights directly from a practicing professional. The session focused on familiarizing students with the structure of the CA course, including its different levels, eligibility criteria, registration process, examination pattern, and articleship requirements. Mr. Ramakrishnan explained the evolving role of Chartered Accountants in the contemporary business environment, highlighting their relevance in areas such as auditing, taxation, corporate finance, risk management, and consulting.
During the session, the speaker elaborated on the competencies and skill sets required to succeed in the CA profession, including analytical ability, ethical judgment, discipline, and continuous learning. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of academic integrity, professional ethics, and adherence to ICAI standards, reinforcing the value-based foundation of the CA profession.
