Mental Wellness Month January 2026
The event was open to all members of CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus and was spread across activities beginning 23rd January onwards. Through a series of creative and experiential engagements, the Centre for Counselling & Health Services (CCHS) aimed to foster awareness, positivity, and a culture of openness around mental health and emotional well-being.
One of the key highlights of Mental Wellness Month was the Mandala Art Session, conducted at the Social Sphere. Students and faculty were invited to engage in mindful artistry through Mandala creation. This session provided participants with a calming and expressive outlet, allowing them to slow down, focus on intricate patterns and colors, and immerse themselves in the present moment.
In addition, positive affirmations were distributed across the campus by CCHS in collaboration with Peer Educators. These affirmations served as gentle yet meaningful reminders of self-worth, resilience, hope, and inner strength. It helped to pause for perspective and delve into things that matter.
The initiative was further supported through a social media campaign, with Instagram posts and reels shared to spread awareness about mental wellness. These digital efforts focused on normalizing conversations around mental health, breaking existing stigma, and encouraging individuals to prioritize self-care and seek support without fear of judgment.
Overall, Mental Wellness Month created a platform for dialogue, empathy, and awareness, reinforcing the importance of collective responsibility in nurturing mental well-being within the university community.
