Product Management with Generative & Agentic AI


The Centre for Academic and Professional Support (CAPS), in collaboration with the School of Business & Management – BBA, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus – ‘The Hub of Analytics’, organized a guest lecture titled “Product Management with Generative and Agentic AI” on 31st January 2026 from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Auditorium, Management Block. The session was conducted for Third Year BBA students as part of the Academic Year 2025–26. The event aimed to create awareness about emerging technological trends and their implications for modern business practices.

The session was delivered by Mr. Aryan Mishra, Senior Business Analyst at Globant. The event was coordinated by Ms. Mansha Sawal, Ms. Nisha Rao, and Dr. Shine Raju Kappil. The lecture witnessed active participation from more than 150 students, reflecting strong interest in the subject matter.

Mr. Mishra began the session by discussing the evolving role of a Product Manager in today’s AI-driven business environment. He emphasized that product management is no longer limited to traditional planning and execution but increasingly involves leveraging advanced technologies to drive innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. The session provided a clear understanding of the difference between Generative AI and Agentic AI, highlighting their practical applications in product development and business strategy.The speaker explained how AI can support the entire product lifecycle—from ideation and development to testing, launch, and scaling. He illustrated how AI tools can collect and analyze customer feedback, process large volumes of data, and generate detailed analytical reports within hours. He noted that tasks which typically take 7–8 days, such as feedback analysis and reporting, can now be completed in just a few hours using AI-powered solutions. This significantly enhances productivity and decision-making efficiency.

Real-world examples were shared to enhance understanding. Mr. Mishra explained how companies like Zomato utilize AI for customer insights, personalized recommendations, and operational efficiency. Students gained insights into integrating AI tools for customer research and data-driven decision-making. The importance of maintaining a user-centric design approach while building AI-powered products was strongly emphasized, ensuring that technology serves genuine customer needs. The session also highlighted the importance of collaboration between product managers and technical teams in AI-based projects. Mr. Mishra discussed ethical considerations, potential risks, and responsible usage of AI technologies, stressing the need for transparency and accountability. He concluded by outlining future career opportunities in Product Management and AI, encouraging students to develop both analytical and technological competencies to remain competitive in the evolving job market.

The feedback received was largely positive. Participants appreciated the engaging presentation style and described the explanations as clear, informative, and well-structured. However, one suggestion indicated that the session could be made more interactive, and another respondent compared it with a previous CAPS seminar, noting scope for further enhancement in engagement.Overall, the session successfully achieved its objective of familiarizing students with emerging trends in Generative and Agentic AI within the domain of Product Management. It provided valuable industry insights and equipped students with a broader perspective on technology-driven innovation and future career pathways.
