Session on Power BI Analytics


The School of Commerce, Finance & Accountancy at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus in collaboration with OIA (Office of International Affairs), organized an insightful and industry-oriented session on “Power BI Analytics” as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen academic excellence and professional competency among students. The session was conducted by Prof. Kelly, Business Analyst at VIVES, Belgium, bringing valuable international exposure and practical expertise to the academic community. The program aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 – Quality Education, emphasizing the importance of skill-based, inclusive, and globally relevant learning experiences.

Held on 14 November 2025 at 10:30 AM in Room No. 2226, Management Block, the session witnessed active participation from students of commerce, finance, and accountancy. The objective of the session was to introduce students to the practical applications of Power BI and to enhance their understanding of business intelligence tools in contemporary decision-making processes.

Prof. Kelly began the session by explaining the growing importance of data analytics in today’s dynamic business environment. She highlighted how organizations across industries rely heavily on data-driven insights to improve operational efficiency, strategic planning, and financial performance. Through a structured and interactive presentation, she introduced the fundamentals of Power BI, including data extraction, transformation, visualization, dashboard creation, and report generation.

One of the key highlights of the session was the demonstration of how raw data can be transformed into meaningful visual insights.
