Club Actvity on 21st February 2026
The Club Activity organized by the School of Business and Management – BBA at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, was conducted on 21st February 2026 from 09:15 AM to 10:50 AM at the Management Block, including BBA classrooms and the recreational area. The event witnessed the active participation of 115 first- and second-year BBA students, supported by 17 student volunteers under the coordination of Ms. Devleena Banerjee. The session featured six parallel club activities designed to promote experiential learning and strengthen key management competencies such as strategic thinking, analytical ability, ethical decision-making, and communication skills. The event provided a platform for students to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to practical and engaging activities.
The ED and Finance Clubs collaboratively organized a “Business Model Canvas” activity in Classroom 2402. Students were divided into groups of six and were assigned fictional business ideas to develop into structured business models. Each team worked on identifying and designing critical components such as value propositions, customer segments, key partners, revenue streams, and cost structures. The activity encouraged students to think creatively while simultaneously considering financial feasibility and sustainability. Teams later presented their business models and received constructive feedback, allowing them to refine their entrepreneurial ideas and improve their presentation and analytical skills.
The Marketing and SMPR Clubs conducted an experiential learning visit to Cafe Atmospherea. During this field activity, students were required to observe the café’s operational and marketing environment and perform a live SWOT analysis. Participants identified strengths such as the café’s ambiance and menu variety, weaknesses including pricing strategies and seating limitations, opportunities related to digital marketing and expansion, and potential threats from nearby competitors. This hands-on activity helped students connect theoretical strategic management tools with real-world business observations, thereby strengthening their analytical thinking and practical understanding.
The Communi-cat Club organized an engaging activity titled “The Shipwreck Consensus” in Classroom 2311. This negotiation-based simulation required teams to reach unanimous agreement on ranking salvaged items from a sinking lifeboat scenario. The activity emphasized the importance of logical reasoning, teamwork, persuasion, and consensus-building. After completing the exercise, the teams’ rankings were compared with official survival guidelines issued by the U.S. Coast Guard, demonstrating how data and expert analysis can challenge common assumptions.
The HRM Club conducted a “Resume Pairing Exercise” in Classroom 2312, where students evaluated eight deliberately flawed resumes containing formatting issues, skill mismatches, and ethical dilemmas. Participants had to critically analyze the profiles and select the most suitable candidate pairs for a specific role while avoiding bias and premature judgment. This activity helped students understand recruitment evaluation processes and the importance of fairness and objectivity in human resource management. Finally, the MDQ Club (Club Artibus) organized a “Hotseat Debate” in Classroom 2313. Participants presented their views on controversial topics and faced rapid cross-questioning from peers. This activity enhanced students’ confidence, critical thinking ability, and spontaneous communication skills. Overall, the club activity successfully fostered experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration, and the practical application of management concepts among students.
