Global Dialogies : International Podcast

The event titled “Global Dialogues: International Podcast” was successfully organized on 23rd February 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the MBA Auditorium, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The program was conducted by the SDG Cell in collaboration with the School of Business and Management (BBA) and AIESEC, with the objective of promoting global leadership awareness, cultural exchange, and student engagement. The event witnessed participation from approximately 100–120 students across various departments, supported by a team of 20 student volunteers under the guidance of faculty coordinators Dr. Anita Kumari and Dr. Barna Naidu, along with student coordinators Mr. Devansh Jain and Mr. Saketh Madisetty.

The event commenced with a warm welcome note introducing the concept of the “Human Album,” which set a reflective and collaborative tone for the session. This was followed by the playing of the “Human” song, creating a sense of unity and shared purpose among the participants. A ceremonial lighting of the lamp was conducted by Justin Fr. along with international delegates from Russia and Japan, symbolizing knowledge, positivity, and global harmony. In his address, Justin Fr. expressed gratitude to the international delegates and emphasized the importance of inclusivity and cross-cultural collaboration in today’s interconnected world.

The session continued with an inspiring address by Jibrael Sir, who welcomed participants to Lavasa and shared a motivational poem featuring the line, “Master of our fate and captain of our soul.” He highlighted the resilience of the human spirit by explaining the context of the poem and encouraged students to believe in their own potential and determination. His message resonated strongly with the audience and set the stage for the leadership-focused discussions that followed.

An engaging segment was led by Shambhavi, LCVP of AIESEC, who introduced the International Exchange Forum (IEF). She conducted an energy check to ensure participant engagement and interaction. This was followed by an ice-breaking session organized by the JIVES team, which included dance and interactive activities. The session effectively helped participants build connections, particularly between local students and international delegates, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

A key highlight of the event was the discussion on leadership, where participants explored the question, “What is leadership?” The session emphasized that leadership is a critical life skill that is developed through real-life experiences rather than theoretical learning alone. It reinforced the idea that leadership is not innate but can be cultivated over time through challenges, learning, and active participation. This perspective aligned well with the event’s goal of promoting value-based leadership among students.

The program also included a thought-provoking video presentation on global issues such as poverty and social inequality. This segment encouraged participants to reflect on their roles as responsible global citizens and consider how they could contribute to addressing these challenges. The international delegates, including Kirillov Vadim and Ivan Taksatov, further enriched the session by discussing how their projects align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and contribute to community development and youth empowerment.

To maintain enthusiasm, interactive activities such as tongue twisters were conducted, adding a fun and engaging element to the session. A detailed briefing on student exchange programs was also provided, highlighting how such initiatives help students develop leadership skills, gain international exposure, and contribute to sustainable development. Junior managers from different countries delivered short elevator pitches, offering insights into their cultures and opportunities for global engagement.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to the organizers, speakers, and international delegates for their valuable contributions. The program ended on a formal note with the Christ Anthem. Overall, the event successfully fostered global awareness, cultural exchange, and leadership development among participants, making it a meaningful and impactful learning experience.
