ChitChat with AI
The discussion featured Mr. Rosh, a fourth-year B.Sc. Data Science student from the Central Campus, Bengaluru, who has been associated with the Centre for AI and has worked on various AI projects. His experiences offered participants a valuable peer-learning opportunity, enabling them to understand AI from the perspective of a fellow student actively exploring the field.
The primary objective of ChitChat with AI was to foster curiosity, promote knowledge sharing, and encourage AI Guild members to engage with emerging AI technologies and their practical applications. Moving beyond the conventional lecture format, the session adopted an informal, discussion-oriented approach that encouraged students to ask questions, express their views, and participate actively. This format created a welcoming environment where participants could explore their interests, clarify doubts, and learn through open interaction.
The session encouraged participants to look beyond classroom learning and take an active interest in experimenting with AI tools, developing innovative ideas, and exploring potential applications. It also reinforced the value of peer learning, where students can learn from one another’s experiences, challenges, and achievements. Through this exchange, AI Guild members were encouraged to build confidence, strengthen their understanding of AI, and collaborate in exploring new possibilities.
ChitChat with AI reflected the Centre for AI’s commitment to nurturing a student-centred learning environment that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. The initiative demonstrated how informal discussions and student-led interactions can complement academic learning and create opportunities for meaningful engagement with emerging technologies. It also strengthened the role of the AI Guild as a platform for encouraging student participation, creativity, and knowledge sharing within the university community.
The event further contributed to fostering a culture of technological awareness and innovation at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. By bringing students together to discuss contemporary developments in Artificial Intelligence, the session encouraged them to remain curious, explore emerging opportunities, and prepare themselves for a technology-driven future.
The Centre for AI looks forward to organising more such initiatives that bring students, faculty, and technology enthusiasts together to learn, collaborate, and innovate. Through activities like ChitChat with AI, the Centre aims to empower students to explore the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence and contribute meaningfully to its responsible and effective use.
