CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized its second Annual Inter-Collegiate Sports Festival - CHRI-SPO (Lavasa) from 30th April to 3rd May 2022, in which we had more than 500 participants from various parts of the country participating in Badminton (M & W), Basketball (M), Chess (M & W), Cricket (M), Football (M), and Table Tennis (M). The event was inaugurated by Dr Fr Arun Antony Chully, Academic Coordinator of Lavasa campus and Harshh Verma, India’s first Shaolin Warrior Monk. CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Lavasa campus won the Badminton Women’s Singles, Men's doubles were Runners-Up, Basketball Boys were Runners-Up, Chess Runners-up, Cricket boys were the Runners-Up, Table Tennis Men’s were Winners and Runners-up, Football Men’s A-team was Runners-Up of Platinum cup and B-team won the Golden Cup. A documentary movie screening was organized by the finance club "Harmoney" of the MBA department on 8th April 2022 and the event also continued on the 22nd of April 2022 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The documentary screened was titled “Panic: The untold story of the 2008 financial crisis”. The event was intended to enhance the understanding of the students regarding the most severe financial crises of the 21st century. Considering the causes and the consequences of the crisis, it was expected that the documentary would help the students in developing a deep understanding of financial and economical concepts such as financial engineering & innovation, risk, risk management, bankruptcy, economic policy and the role of government and central banks in containing crises. The School of Business and Management conducted the Clan Leader Electionnaire for 2022-2023. The elections were held on the 06th May 2022 from 02:30 PM to 04:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. The main objective of the election was the formation of the Clan Leaders who would manage the affairs of their Clans - Spartans, Samurais, Vikings and Knights. The judges for the election were Prof Ani Samuel, Dr Mahesh, and Prof Monica. There were 16 candidates in total, two males and two females from each clan, who had to fight for their respective clan leadership. The event started with a Welcome Note by Mr Ajinkya, who invited the HoD Dr Becky Thomas, to address the clan members. Her address was followed by the three rounds: Face-Off, AD-LIB Extempore, and Ballot Box Voting. The first round began with the face-off between the candidates from Vikings, followed by Knights, Samurais and Spartans, where the candidates had to speak about why they should be selected....

The library in association with the BBA department organized this guest talk for the students of BBA to develop leadership skills. Mr Emmanuel David, Former head of Tata Management and Training Centre, Pune and Adjunct Professor of National Institute of Advanced Studies, Indian Institute of Science Campus, Bengaluru - 560 012, India delivered the talk to students and faculty members. The event started with the introduction of a guest by Dr Parameswaran, Coordinator, BBA department. Firstly, tell us about your internship and the role assigned to you. “I took the internship by filling a google form which was sent to me through my college email-id. I remember filling it and after a few days, our internship head called me and took my interview, and then I was selected for the role of content creation. The Finance Club 'Harmoney' from the School of Business and Management (MBA) organizes a 'Finance Quiz' on 1st March 2022 at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus. This finance club activity is aimed at checking the knowledge of the students with respect to the Finance Domain. The participants were from MBA Finance with 7 teams of 3 members each. Finance club harmoney had its 5th event on 1st April 2022, where Prof Mohit Boralkar conducted the event with the support of Dr Danish Hussain and coordination of Mr Arun Kumar.
