Beyond the Classroom: Alumni Perspectives on Lavasa Life

School of Business and Management (BBA), organized an engaging Alumni Interaction session for the 2024 Batch of BBA students on 2nd September 2025. The event, titled “Beyond the Classroom: Alumni Perspectives on Lavasa Life”, was held at the Management Block Auditorium from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. The invited speaker was Mr. Ankit Choudhary, a proud alumnus from the 2021 Batch of BBA Business Analytics, who is currently working as Senior Associate - Brand Success at Confluencer, a Global Influencer Marketing Agency.

The session aimed to provide students with a deeper understanding of how life at Lavasa shapes individuals in ways that extend far beyond academic learning. Alumni interactions have always been a crucial part of Christ University’s culture, as they allow present students to connect with those who once shared the same classrooms and campus life. These interactions offer not just practical insights into the world of work but also serve as a source of motivation and inspiration.

In his address, Mr. Choudhary shared his personal journey of transformation during his years at Christ University. He spoke about how the Lavasa campus, with its serene setting, rigorous academics, and vibrant student community, provided him with opportunities to learn leadership, teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication. He emphasized that while textbooks and theory provide the foundation, real learning often happens outside the classroom—through experiences in clubs, student organizations, case competitions, and campus events.

Drawing from his professional life, Mr. Choudhary highlighted the importance of practical exposure and the ability to adapt to changing situations. He explained how the skills he gained at Christ—critical thinking, problem-solving, and people management—have been instrumental in his career in the fast-moving field of influencer marketing. He also encouraged students to value networking and mentorship, pointing out that meaningful connections with peers, faculty, and industry professionals can open unexpected doors in their future careers.

For the 2024 Batch of BBA students, who are preparing to step into new phases of their journey, his talk was timely and insightful.
