The 10th Anniversary of Christ University, Lavasa Campus, was a momentous occasion celebrated with immense joy, pride, and a deep sense of accomplishment. Nestled amidst the breathtaking Sahyadri Hills in Maharashtra, the Lavasa campus has been a beacon of knowledge, fostering growth and excellence for an entire decade. 

Commencement of the Celebration

The event commenced with a solemn moment of silence, allowing everyone present to reflect on the incredible journey of the campus. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp was a symbolic gesture signifying knowledge, wisdom, and hope for the future. This revered tradition was led by esteemed dignitaries, including Dr. Johnny Joseph, Dr. Fr. Jossy P. George, Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas, Fr. Justin P. Varghese, and Dr. Jibrael Jos, all of whom have played crucial roles in the institution's journey. The lighting of the lamp set the tone for an event filled with reflection, recognition, and celebration.

Welcoming the Gathering

The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jibrael Jos, who extended his heartfelt greetings to all attendees, including faculty members, students, alumni, and distinguished guests. He eloquently captured the essence of the occasion, emphasizing the unwavering commitment of Christ University to academic excellence, student development, and societal contribution. 

Following this, Ms. Monica took the stage to share insights into the decade-long journey of the campus. She recounted significant milestones, highlighting the growth of academic programs, student achievements, research advancements, and extracurricular successes. A specially curated video snippet was presented, capturing the highlights of the Alumni Conclave, an integral part of the event that reinforced the theme of reconnecting and celebrating achievements.

Inspirational Speeches and Honors

A defining moment of the event was the Inaugural address by Dr. Fr. Lijo Thomas, who took the audience on a reflective journey through the campus’s transformative years. He emphasized the importance of inclusivity, collaboration, and academic excellence, values that have been the cornerstone of Christ University. His speech reinforced the institution's commitment to fostering a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment for students.

A special moment of honor was dedicated to the chief guests, Dr. Johnny Joseph and Dr. Jossy P. George, who were felicitated by Fr. Lijo Thomas and Fr. Justin P. Varghese. Their contributions to the university were recognized with great reverence, acknowledging their instrumental roles in laying the foundation for academic excellence at Christ University, Lavasa Campus.

In his address, Dr. Johnny Joseph shared valuable insights on academic excellence and the evolving landscape of education. He stressed the importance of research, innovation, and adaptability in a rapidly changing world, encouraging students to be lifelong learners. His words served as a motivation for students and faculty alike to continue striving for excellence in their respective fields.

Dr. Fr. Jossy P. George was welcomed back with deep respect and admiration, as he reminisced about his role in establishing the Lavasa campus. His speech evoked a sense of nostalgia and appreciation for the remarkable growth of the institution. 

Technological Advancement: Launch of Alumni Website & Mobile Application

A significant highlight of the event was the launch of the Alumni Website and Mobile Application. This initiative symbolized the university’s commitment to staying connected with its alumni across the globe. The platform aims to facilitate networking, mentorship opportunities, and collaborations among Christites, ensuring that graduates remain an integral part of the university community even after completing their studies.

Concluding the Grand Celebration

As the event drew to a close, Dr. Mahesh Kumar T, Coordinator of Alumni Engagement, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of the celebration. He extended appreciation to the organizing committee, faculty members, alumni, students, and esteemed guests for their unwavering support and participation. His words encapsulated the collective effort that made this event a truly grand and memorable occasion.

The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion. This was followed by an introduction about the resource persons by Ms Pretty Rose Sebastian & Mr Shreeyash Goel, Students of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics). CHRIST values instill an attitude of gratitude in the students and despite leaving the portals of the college they never fail to express their appreciation and keep the college well informed about their achievements. It is always a pleasure to hear from ex-students and Director & Dean, Dr Fr Jossy George applauds the academic and professional success of the students in and out of the campus. Despite a temporary lock down and students being confined at home, the students are in constant touch with the Director and faculty and share their thoughts and feelings.     Bhavishya Sajith who majored in Finance speaks eloquently about her two year journey at CIM.
