Guest Lecture on The Power of Protection: Understanding Different Types of IPR


The Department of Commerce at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus organized a guest lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) titled “The Power of Protection: Understanding Different Types of IPR”. The session aimed to provide insights into the various aspects of intellectual property and its significance in today’s rapidly evolving business and legal landscape. It was designed to help students understand how intellectual property plays a crucial role in innovation, business growth, and legal protection.

The lecture was delivered by Sheheen Marakkar, an Assistant Professor at the School of Law, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). The event took place on March 5, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:20 AM, in Room No. 2225, Management Block of the university campus. It attracted students and faculty members eager to learn about the role of IPR in protecting innovations and creative works.
