Books in Search of Readers


The Books in Search of Readers initiative was organized by The Library & The Readers Club on 20th and 21st March 2025 to encourage reading habits and promote engagement with the library's diverse collection. The event aimed to connect readers with hidden gems and new arrivals through an interactive book display.

The event held at Steaming Mugs, Management Block (20th March) and Quadrangle, Central Block (21st March), the initiative provided an opportunity for students and faculty members to explore, borrow, and engage with books effortlessly. The event successfully highlighted the importance of reading and library usage, ensuring easy access to valuable resources.

The objectives of the event:

  • Increase awareness and usage of diverse library resources.
  • Encourage students and faculty to explore new genres and authors.
  • Create an interactive reading culture through discussions and recommendations.

Event Highlights:

A curated collection of the best and newest books from the library was displayed near Steaming Mugs Management block & Quadrangle Central block, the popular spots are in the university.

The event created an interactive platform for readers to explore various genres, engage in literary discussions, and receive personalized book recommendations.

Library staff provided assistance in selecting books and facilitated borrowing directly from the display area, making the process seamless for participants.

Participation:

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and faculty members who actively browsed the displayed books, engaged in discussions, and borrowed titles of interest.

Many attendees appreciated the initiative, expressing their interest in similar future events that promote reading culture within the university.

Impact & Feedback:

Total 136 books were borrowed by the readers from this event. 

Increased circulation of books, especially new arrivals, highlighting the growing interest in library resources.

Positive feedback from participants, with many requesting more frequent book displays and thematic reading events.

Strengthened the connection between the library and its users, reinforcing the library’s role in supporting academic and recreational reading.

Outcomes of the event:
