The School of Business and Management (MBA) at Christ (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized a workshop titled "The Art of Investing" on 28th February 2025. The session was conducted by Dr. Abhijeet Birari, Assistant Professor, with the objective of educating students on trading fundamentals, technical analysis, and financial independence strategies.

The workshop commenced with Dr. Birari emphasizing the importance of financial freedom and the role of passive income in wealth creation. He explained how achieving financial independence requires a disciplined approach to investing, highlighting the significance of diversified income sources such as stock investments, mutual funds, and real estate.

During the session, participants gained insights into key investment principles, stock market trends, and risk management techniques. Dr. Birari covered essential concepts such as technical indicators, candlestick patterns, and market trend analysis, which are crucial for making informed trading decisions. He elaborated on various trading strategies, distinguishing between short and long trades, and explained how traders can leverage market trends to maximize returns. Additionally, he discussed the use of super trends, price actions, and candle charts, which aid traders in analyzing market movements and making strategic investment choices.

A major focus of the workshop was on developing students’ understanding of technical analysis. Dr. Birari illustrated how technical indicators help predict market movements and enable investors to make data-driven decisions. He explained the importance of trend analysis in identifying potential investment opportunities and mitigating risks. By providing real-life examples, he demonstrated how investors can use trading strategies to navigate volatile markets effectively.

The interactive session encouraged active participation, with students engaging in discussions and clarifying their doubts. Through practical demonstrations, students learned how to interpret market patterns and utilize technical tools to enhance their trading skills. The workshop successfully improved students' financial literacy, equipping them with the necessary knowledge to develop long-term wealth-building strategies.

Towards the conclusion of the session, Dr. Birari shared a crucial insight: "The stock market is the most difficult place to make easy money." This statement reinforced the idea that success in trading requires disciplined learning, strategic planning, and continuous effort. He emphasized that while investing can be lucrative, it demands patience, research, and risk management.

To further encourage learning, Dr. Birari recommended three insightful books: Trading for a Living by Alexander Elder, Come into My Trading Room, and The Disciplined Trader. These books provide in-depth knowledge about trading psychology, risk management, and technical analysis, essential for aspiring investors.

The workshop received highly positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the practical insights and valuable knowledge shared during the session. Students expressed their enthusiasm for learning more about investments and financial planning, recognizing the significance of informed decision-making in achieving financial stability.

Overall, "The Art of Investing" workshop successfully met its objectives by fostering financial awareness and promoting responsible investing among students. The session underscored the university's commitment to equipping students with essential financial knowledge and investment skills. The School of Commerce, Finance and Accountancy organized a "Panel Discussion on Leadership and Entrepreneurship Development Skill " on 4th March 2022 at 1:30 PM at CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus.   Ms Ayushi Chandna student of 6 BCom (Financial Analytics) commenced the session with silent prayer & briefed about the Panel Discussion.
