Fresher's Party of BBA

The School of Business and Management – BBA, CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, organized Freshers’ Party: A Cultural Get-Together on 19th September 2025 at the Activity Hub, Central Block. The program, held from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, was a vibrant and welcoming occasion curated for the first-year BBA students to help them integrate into the Christ community, build camaraderie, and experience the cultural vibrancy of the campus. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation with 190 students in attendance, coordinated by a faculty team and supported by second year students..

The evening began with an inauguration ceremony led by the Academic Coordinator, Fr. Justin P. Varghese, who addressed the gathering with words of encouragement and motivation. His message highlighted the values of Christ University and the opportunities available for students to develop holistically. Following this, the Under 25 Team conducted an energetic ice-breaking session. In a unique activity, soft balls were passed among the first years, and six randomly selected students were invited on stage. They participated in a fun dance challenge, each listening to different music through individual headsets. This activity created laughter, excitement, and inclusivity while encouraging students to step out of their comfort zones. The Under 25 Team also extended invitations to the first years to join their community, broadening avenues for student engagement.

The cultural program that followed showcased the talent and creativity of the senior BBA students, setting a lively tone for the evening. The first performance was a fusion dance presented by students from 2BBA Section A, which combined classical and contemporary elements, earning enthusiastic applause. This was followed by an energetic Bollywood dance performance by students of 2BBA Section B, who captivated the audience with synchronized moves and vibrant energy. Adding musical diversity, the second-year BBA band took the stage, with Parth and his team delivering a soulful and electrifying jamming session that left the audience spellbound.

A highlight of the cultural segment was a Punjabi dance led by Mr. Jaskaran and his group, which brought infectious enthusiasm and showcased the diversity of talent within the student body. The performance resonated strongly with the audience, adding a celebratory and festive spirit to the event.

Another major attraction of the evening was the Mr. and Ms. Fresher Contest for the 2025 batch. Participants were evaluated through a series of rounds including a ramp walk, spontaneous activities, and a humorous roasting session conducted by Dr. Monica L. The contest provided a platform for first years to express themselves, showcase confidence, and demonstrate creativity. The winners were announced amidst loud cheers, symbolizing the culmination of the welcoming ceremony.

The event concluded with a lively DJ session, where both seniors and juniors took to the dance floor, celebrating unity and building bonds that extended beyond classrooms. Snacks were distributed at the end, providing a perfect close to the evening. Overall, Freshers’ Day 2025 was not merely an entertainment program but a platform for cultural exchange, community building, and talent recognition. It succeeded in creating a memorable start for the new batch, reinforcing the inclusive and vibrant ethos of Christ University.
